PERMISSIONS AND INFO;

EIZEN THE EXPLORER
OUT OF CHARACTER;
PLAYER: Court
CONTACT: [plurk.com profile] demonology / PM
FORMATTING: Both action and prose are fine by me!
BACKTAGGING: Y, please!
THREADHOPPING: Ask first!
FOURTHWALLING: N
IN CHARACTER;
NAME: Eizen
CANON: Tales of Berseria
CANON POINT: Negotiable, defaults to end-game.
AGE: ~1000 (appears ~30)
HEIGHT: 187cm / 6'1"
BUILD: Eizen is tall and solidly built, coming across as an imposing presence and the sort of person who can dig his heels in and not be moved for god(s) or anyone. He is a fist-fighter and built like one, with lean muscle that makes it clear he can pack a punch.

AFFECTION: Eizen isn't one to show affection toward others in typical ways, though he tends to be softer with kids (if anyone). He's more likely to communicate affection toward someone by vowing to protect them at all costs, running into danger for their sake, etc. Affection received from others he may not know what to do with, as he runs with a group of rough-and-tumble pirates who don't do much in the way of touchy-feely stuff. He'll be perplexed at best and throw a punch at worst.

RELATIONSHIPS: This isn't out of the question, but it might take some work! Eizen literally goes where the wind takes him — except when he has a goal, in which case he's a non-stop force of nature, so he isn't one for settling down. Once he's attached to someone and it's clear that they can handle his curse, he will be ride or die for them. That developing into something more is certainly an option. As for shipping and smut, whether serious or casual, I'm pretty open to anything if the characters are a good fit and have the right chemistry! He wouldn't be opposed to something more casual if the mood struck/conditions were right.

VIOLENCE: This is more Eizen's area. Any fights, whether because there's a genuine clash between characters or because they're sparring, he'll be 100% down for. This doesn't need to be checked over with me unless it goes into serious injury or death territory, in which case let's talk! Eizen isn't above killing when it's necessary, and I'm open to him bumping heads with people over that.

TELEPATHY: This is something that Eizen will hate, as the creed he lives his life by is taking hold of his own wheel (in other words, his free will is the most important thing to him), so having someone in his head would be a huge violation. (To say nothing of the history of malaks being used as tools, yikes.) He doesn't necessarily have anything to block against this beyond his strength of will, which is one of his more notable characteristics. I am open to playing around with this, but just keep in mind he will not be happy (and may lash out violently, depending on the situation).

PHYSICAL INFORMATION: Here he is. Eizen is meticulous about his outfit and appearance, so he will almost always present this way. There's a chance that he might shed his coat, but he'd have to be pretty comfortable for that. He comes across as an intimidating and stern figure, and is described by NPCs as "dour" and "mean-looking." That's kind of just his face. When he's excited over something (usually something history or treasure related), he will get very animated and enthusiastic. He just doesn't really do half-measures.

MENTAL INFORMATION: If someone were to get into his head, they'd likely butt up against his strong will. As an earth malak (a spiritual being created from nature), Eizen is stubborn as (you guessed it) a rock. He's been around for a long time and has a very real bad luck curse that's a part of him. I'm fine with characters sensing some of these things about him, if it makes sense!
OPT OUT;
UNWANTED SCENARIOS: There's very little that I'm not comfortable playing out, if it comes up and makes sense! I have no aversion to violence, sex, etc. If something is bugging me, I'll let you know.

ADDITIONAL PERMISSIONS: Eizen is afflicted with something called the reaper's curse, which essentially means that bad luck follows him wherever he goes, and this will naturally affect the people around him and put them in danger. He's upfront about this if he's going to work with someone so that they know what they're getting into. I'm personally fine with the curse coming up in threads or not (its effects can also just be silly or inconvenient rather than outright dangerous), depending on what my thread partners wants to do! Please let me know if you'd rather avoid it entirely and that's totally fine.
